Professional Photography Studio Protecting Our Community

As professional photographers working in our community it is essential for us to help and minimise the spread of any infection. Even though we have always operated a clean studio working policy we have introduced some new working protocols to meet government guidelines as well as common sense initiatives to protect us & you.

Like all small business we have been hit by this pandemic lockdown and are eager to get back to work, but we can only do that safely with your cooperation in following our protocols.

Click on the buttons below to see the changes we have made for each type of photoshoot.

Studio Cleaning

Before and after every studio session the studio is cleaned  cleaned by using disinfectant / isopropyl alcohol and/or steam cleaning. All surfaces that could be touched and all props used are sanitised. All blankets and outfits used are washed between portrait sessions. The studio will be aired thoroughly to minimise any droplets in the air.

Session Timing

At least 2 hours will be left between sessions to enable a thorough clean of all surfaces and accessories to take place and to ensure there is no contact between customers arriving and leaving the premises. As we move into Phase 2 of the Scottish Government Route Map we will be operating an appointment only system for all visitors to the studio.

Health Statement

As part of our commitment to provide a safe working and customer environment for all those visiting Highland Dreams Photography during the COVID-19 pandemic we are asking clients prior to attending their photoshoot to confirm the following:

1.  You, or anyone attending the shoot, have no cause to believe that you have COVID-19.

2.  You, or anyone attending the shoot, have been meeting the Government COVID-19 guidelines and 2m-distancing when you are outside of your household.

3. You or anyone attending the shoot have not been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or anyone who is showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

4. You, or anyone attending the shoot, have not travelled to or, to your knowledge, had any contact with any individual travelling from any high COVID-19 risk countries (as deemed by UK FCO) in the 14 days prior to the shoot.

5. You, or anyone attending the shoot, have not had any of the symptoms listed below in the last 14 days:

A new continuous cough, that is where you:

      • have a new cough that’s lasted for an hour

      • have had 3 or more episodes of coughing in 24 hours

      • are coughing more than usual

A fever or high temperature, that is feeling hot to the touch on your chest or back

   Sore throat.

   Loss of smell or taste.

6. You, or anyone attending the shoot, are not over 70 years of age or have any pre-existing condition which would put yourself at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19, as defined by the Government.

Appointments will be re-arranged, at no cost.

Hand Cleaning

All photographers and staff will be required to thoroughly wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds before all sessions. On arrival at the studio all clients will be asked to wash their hands. Appropriate sanitising hand gels will be made available and customers  are requested to use these during the shoot.

Social Distancing

We have rearranged our diary to ensure no crossover and are working to a strict “By Appointment Only” rule as well as ensuring our contact is minimised with the social distancing. As we say “2 meters don’t mean we don’t love you” in fact by respecting the 2-meter guideline as well as our no touch policy, the session will flow and still feel like a great experience.

We will follow guidelines on grouping and numbers at all time and adjust to the numbers in a session allowed. When shooting on location we will only be photographing one family at a time, with an extended time slot to allow for appropriate client & studio employee/s sanitisation protocol.

We may ask parents to help move their children and babies. During the portrait session we will guide you with posing from a safe distance. Due to the restrictions imposed by social distancing, it may not be appropriate to offer usual studio sessions and poses, particularly with regard to newborn and maternity sessions. To carry out these types of sessions where social distancing may not be possible due to safety, we will discuss with you what can be achieved and any additional measures we could take eg use of masks.
